CAKE

This was Pastor Joe Bonifacio and Rica Peralejo's wedding cake-- yesterday.
I found it simple and cool. :D
While watching clips from their wedding, I suddenly got teary eyed without reason-- maybe, there is a reason, but it's beyond what I could grasp yesterday. :)
I told God, I'd be a good girl so that He would give a Prince, too someday. XD
I love my church. They help me believe-- that waiting and being waited for is worth it-- that it's possible to remain pure, because it pleases Him-- that sex is a God's gift to couples within marriage-- that He cares for the lovelives of His children. I love my church-- because they just don't encourage me to believe in those, they inspire me because by God's grace, they are able to do those.
Thank you Lord, because those things maybe fool to this world, but they are wise in YOU. :)

HAPPINESS

No, those two puppies above are not the same. On the left was our adorable Coco who only stayed with us for 2 months! :( He accidentally ate a bone or something that caused him die early. He's so cute and sweet that he made everyone in the compound sad when he died. Argh.
But after few weeks of no Coco, another puppy arrived! Yey!! On the right is Shiro (as of now, I don't know if that's his final name). He looks like Coco big time! I'm so happy. Shiro also loves to sleep on the spot where Coco used to sleep. :) I hope Shiro would grow up and live longer. :))
By the way, because I was really sad when Coco died, I asked God that He would give us another Coco. I really meant it. I thought He would just give another puppy from out there; but this morning when I woke up, I was so amazed to see "Coco" again. I guess, God do care about our simple requests and happiness. :)

CRAWLING

"If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl, but by all means KEEP MOVING." -Martin Luther King Jr.
Bad things come and go. They sap your strength. From intense enthusiasm, it can push you into your lowest low. It's the reality. This world is unfair. Humans are rude. So your effortless flying can become a desperate crawling, anytime. Most of the time, it comes in times when you least expect it. But you just can't afford staying in what's worst-- because no matter how bleak it may seem, by faith, there are always better things ahead. It's paniful to let go. It takes a pruned pride to forgive, it takes time to heal a broken soul, it requires an effort to be happy-- but it's for the best that you have to move on.

HIS GEM

God told me today that I have a cause for celebration.
Today, you should celebrate what an unbelievable life you have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make you stronger. Just as a gem cannot be polished without friction, nor can a life be perfected without trials. Take a time to acknowledge your life and to praise yourself.

JESUS

"...Man's Maker was made man that He, Ruler of the stars, might nurse at His mother's breast; that the Bread might hunger, the Fountain thirst, the Light sleep, the Way be tired on its jourey; that Truth might be accused of false witnesses, the Teacher be beaten with whips, the Foundation be suspended on wood; that Strength might grow weak; that the Healer might be wounded; that Life might die..."

LOVE SPOKEN

Is it possible that one reason a person might feel unloved isn't just because he is not given love but because he does not understand the language of love given to him?

One of the grandest expression of love would be a sacrifice- love given out of a risk and with a greater cost. Sometimes, love is expressed through gifts-- tangible things that maybe expensive or not.

But there are also simple expressions of love-- so simple that they are often neglected. Simple because all you have to do is to be there for someone, offering your presence and time.

I realized that people do not always long for the grandest language of love. Not everyone requires a sacrifice or a gift to feel loved. Most of us just hope for someone who is present and sincere-- like a touch that quietly speaks to our heart that everything will turn out right. :)
